These small Milagros heart earrings are available in sterling silver or matt copper. Please choose your selection from the drop-down menu. The earrings measure approx. 17.5mm x 15mm each and the post is sterling silver with a butterfly closure.
Milagros (meaning miracles in Spanish) are small religious folk charms found on church walls throughout Mexico and Peru. These items are influenced by the Sacred Heart which is one of the most common motifs in religious folk art created in Mexico.

These earrings have been handmade by me using traditional methods. Each pair will be different as they are hand-cut and hand stamped so please allow for slight variations in the design.

Copper has been used and recycled by people for thousands of years. Around 89% of all the copper we’ve ever dug from the ground in the last 6000 years is still in circulation: it just gets melted back down and reused again and again and again! Because it does not degrade during recycling, copper in use today could well have been made into objects thousands of years ago.
Historically, copper has been used to keep the body healthy and to enhance positive energy. It is also said to improve mental health, joint stiffness and pain, mineral absorption and a healthier immune system. It has been said to be both anti-bacterial and anti-viral, it can reduce inflammation and be an energy booster. It is supposed to aid self-expression and psychic communication and attract positivity, wealth, and luck!
