ADDITIONAL INFO
“memento mori” = an object kept as a reminder of the inevitability of death, such as a skull. The origin of the phrase is Latin meaning ‘remember (that you have to die)’. Memento mori as a phrase and object emerged in late 16th/early 17th centuries as an instruction to value life and live as if each day was your last. Jewellery made as memento mori is also a way of remembering those who are no longer with us.
These memento mori skull cufflinks are moulded from an original Victorian memento mori skull bead. They measure approx. 10mm x 10mm and are moulded from silver clay with a sterling silver cufflink attachment. Each pair will be different as they are handmade so please allow for slight variations in the design.
Most items are made to order so please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. If you need your item in a rush, please email me at sam@rockandrosejewellery.co.uk as I’m always happy to discuss options.
