Robin Necklace

After making a pair of Robin cufflinks for my Dad’s 80th birthday present I realised these cute little birds fit my brand really well as they often symbolise lost loved ones. The phrase “robins appear when loved ones are near” is such a popular quote. They are particularly special to me as my Dad’s name is Robin.

Popular Christmas symbols, robins can also symbolise new beginnings, hope, renewal, rebirth, good luck, fortune and a sign of good things to come. I think at the end of the year as we look back that is a really lovely sentiment to have.

My robin necklace is made from either copper metal clay or sterling silver metal clay and both come with an 18 inch sterling silver chain. They measure approx. 11mm by 10mm.

Copper has been used and recycled by people for thousands of years. Around 89% of all the copper we’ve ever dug from the ground in the last 6000 years is still in circulation: it just gets melted back down and reused again and again and again! Because it does not degrade during recycling, copper in use today could well have been made into objects thousands of years ago.

Historically, copper has been used to keep the body healthy and to enhance positive energy. It is also said to improve mental health, joint stiffness and pain, mineral absorption and a healthier immune system. It has been said to be both anti-bacterial and anti-viral, it can reduce inflammation and be an energy booster. It is supposed to aid self-expression and psychic communication and attract positivity, wealth, and luck!

My jewellery is inspired by different cultures, ancient history and memento mori. More information about this can be found in my About section. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me.
